![]() Director Jake Kasdan said that he plans to connect Jumanji 3 with both previous films, especially Welcome to the Jungle. The sequel didn’t have many references to the original, but it was clear that it is in the same universe. Instead, it was a sequel to the 1995 Jumanji, starring Robin Williams. Initially, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was supposed to be a reboot for Jumanji franchise. He added that he is excited to have Danny joining their casts on another wild and fun adventure. Of course, Dwayne Johnson teased its fans with the new additions but he didn’t reveal anything about their characters. However, based on the newest trailer, it won’t be much difference from the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was filmed in Hawaii and Georgia, however during filming for Jumanji 3 it was supposed to be a storyline change. Jumanji 3started its production in Januand finished filming around April 26, 2019. Matt Tolbach will be the film producer and he will work alongside Seven Bucks Production team of Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia. Sony asked Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner to write a sequel, with Jake Kasdan helping to direct and shape the movie. The second Jumanji film was such a hit that Sony brought back the major players for Jumanji: Next Level. In addition, it will be a busy week, just like the showdown from 2017, when Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was on the big screen right after Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The installment is exactly one week before Star Wars: Episode IX. For now, Jumanji 3 is scheduled to be released on December 13, 2019. ![]()
